Dr Katherine Dutton is an Adult rheumatology Consultant who treats a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions and has a special interest in inflammatory arthritis, lupus and connective tissue diseases. She studied medicine at Monash University where she was awarded honours for her academic achievements. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians after training within Victoria, Queensland and the United Kingdom.

Dr Dutton practised rheumatology for several years at Chapel Allerton Hospital, a European centre of rheumatology excellence within the United Kingdom. She also completed a Fellowship at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (UK), and gained a Masters of Clinical Research from the University of Leeds for her work in researching a novel biomarker in pre-clinical and established lupus and connective tissue disease.

Dr Dutton’s interests are in general rheumatology, arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, connective tissue diseases, and soft-tissue and joint injections/aspirations for pain relief. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks and painting.
